Gala is a huge success

School’s out for Samba-our 2007 gala event-netted more than $42,000 to underwrite the costs of programs in underserved schools. The lively evening of dance, music and food was held at the Butterfly House in Faust Park on May 18 and featured a Brazilian theme.

The picture perfect evening was planned by Gala Co-Chairs, Stellie Siteman and Kathie Winter, with lots of help from party planner Susan Werremeyer of Carlton Werremeyer and the Springboard & Young Audiences Board and Staff. Our successful auction was led by Malcolm Ivey of Ivey-Selkirk. Entertainment by Capoeira St. Louis and music was provided by Samba Bom.
