Melvyn Jernigan played trombone for over 35 years with the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra before his retirement. He also manages Primo Concerts, Inc., an organization that promotes and presents many jazz and chamber music groups. These ensembles perform in concerts and educational venues throughout the US, Europe, and Japan. As well as producing records, Melvyn serves on the board of Summit Records.

Lena Juracsik’s enthusiasm for Math began when at the age of five as she was allowed to sit in the back of her mother’s math class on Saturdays. She graduated from Leningrad Pedagogical University in Russia, her native country, and received her certification to teach middle and high school math. When Lena immigrated to the United States, she took classes at Harris–Stowe State College to obtain certification in Missouri.
