TESTIMONIALS
Springboard & Young Audiences serves schools and community groups in the St. Louis Metropolitan area, the Eastern half of Missouri, and the Metro East region of Illinois. We also maintain a strong commitment to special needs students whom we see in self-contained classrooms, in regular classrooms where they have been mainstreamed, and in sites such as Children’s Hospital, Central Institute for the Deaf, Elias Michael School for the Orthopedically Handicapped and Griscom School for juvenile offenders.
Testimonials
- “These programs inspire imagination, creativity and help budding artists reach for new levels of performance in school. The arts are about.thinking outside the box and creating new solutions to everyday problems. Thank you so much for your work in the arts and helping young minds open to new and different ways of thinking.”
- Flavia Everman, Executive Director
- Warren County Fine Arts Council
- “At first I thought this class would be very boring because I know a lot about archaeology. I was wrong. (Our Springboard & Young Audiences teacher) taught us more about archaeology than I know. I always dream that I’m an archaeologist. Well, maybe one day I will be one.”
- 5th grade student
- “She taught me so much that sometimes my brain bubbles…”
- 2nd grade student
- (Culture of Haiti program)
- “Thank you for training us in the art of radio. I really enjoyed making the radio show. I especially liked being in the control room with all the computers and speakers. I love how the show turned out and I would do it all over again if I could! After I listened to the show, I listened to it again! And again! And again! So, basically what I'm trying to say is… Thank you!”
- 4th grade student
- “One very shy, but very bright, young man would seldom speak in class or participate in small group activities. Now, there is a young man who is willing to take on leadership of small groups, works with others in partnership and speaks up in the classroom. What a springboard for his future!”
- J. Williams, 6th Grade Teacher
- Compton-Drew Middle School
- (Peggy Harris’ Fresh Start Theatre Arts program)
