FAQ

How much does a typical Springboard & Young Audiences program cost?

The cost of a long-term residency varies depending on the program and includes the specialist’s salary, fringe benefits and all the supplies that make Springboard & Young Audiences programs exciting. Costs for performances, workshops and residencies are available in the catalog. Educator workshop fees are based on the length and topic of the program. Some schools are eligible for free or reduced price programs. Please call 314.289.4120 for details.

Can my school get a free program?

Your school is eligible to request a free 14-week program if it fits certain funding criteria. St. Louis Public Schools (SLPS) has a special fund with Springboard & Young Audiences, so most of elementary and middle schools in SLPS are eligible. Springboard & Young Audiences has a grant to serve the schools in the inner suburbs, which include Normandy, Riverview Gardens, Jennings, University City and the Ritenour School District. All of these grants are limited, so please call the Springboard & Young Audiences office at 314.289.4120 to discuss your school’s eligibility.

Does Springboard & Young Audiences provide after school or summer programming?

Yes. In the past we have worked with St. Louis Public Schools, Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club, Aim High St. Louis, Benton Park neighborhood sites, Central Institute for the Deaf, and greater St. Louis YMCA and YWCA sites. If you or your organization are interested in an after school or summer program, please call the Springboard & Young Audiences office to discuss the type of program you would like, the audience, etc.

Will someone from Springboard & Young Audiences make a presentation to my school’s PTO as a possible source of funds for a Springboard program?

Absolutely! Once they learn about it, parents and community members are as enthusiastic about getting Springboard & Young Audiences into their school as the teachers and students!
